Make it stand out.

WomanEwer was selected and funded by The Barbican and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama to create a short film about sexual abuse against women using dance and speech. After sending an open call in March 2021, the project connected over 100 women internationally, to take part through dance, sending their own stories in writings (letters, poems and testimonials), face to face interviews and many Zoom meetings.

In the studio and for 2 full weeks of research, 10 dancers found different ways to express their own experiences and create a coping mechanism through improvisation and creative tasks which led to the creation of a 'tool box'.

The research was documented and was made into a 14 min film that was screened for DISRUPT at the Barbican.
